Here's the documentation that I ripped off of the STA Site:

To 100kdl,

As you probably already know, we have been investigating a possible incidence of cheating. Let me give you all the details of the investigation.

Shortly after the first round of play on 12/18/00, bM came to Bounce and said they felt something was wrong with your server settings. They felt something had been changed to render their HW’s ineffective. At that point we were unaware of any way to do this and bM was told to play the second round. They were also told if they could find any way to do it, to come to the STA and we would investigate.

On 12/19/00 they approached Xris and had discovered that by shutting off the lag compensation in the net code, the HW’s would indeed be effected. They also provided the STA with a demo showing a number of instances where a scout ran around the HW hitting him with a crowbar and the HW was unable to kill him even though he was aiming directly at the scout. At that time, we started an official investigation into the situation.

Valve was contacted and confirmed that this was possible and that it would have the described effect on the game play for the HW. Still not convinced, we ran a blind study with one of the bM HW’s who had played in the match. While on a game server, we tested three different setting and allowed him to try and kill us as a scout and soldier. We tested him with the net code on, with the net code shut off on the server and with the net code shut off on our end. He was never told which settings we were running at any time. At the end of the test, we asked the bM player which setting (1,2, or 3) felt like the game play had on your server on Monday night. He identified the setting with the net code turned off. The test also served one other purpose. It allowed us to see for ourselves the effect the different settings would have on game play.

After the test was completed we went back and watched the demo again. It indeed looked just like our test when we had the net code shut off on the server.

This was when we initially contacted you and asked for a valid explanation which you were unable to provide us. Packet loss and high lag do not produce the same effect.

For these reasons, we have found 100kdl guilty of cheating by changing the game play without the knowledge of your opponents. STA does not take cheating lightly and for that reason, we find no other solution but to remove 100kdl from the league. You will not be allowed to reenter STA under this name or any other.

In case you dont know about the complete site redesign, I'm doing a complete site redesign.

Here's what I've got DONE:

- Site format
- 20 track music selector
- New history movie part 1

Here's what isn't done (and the order that I plan on doing it):

- New history movie part 2 (with all member names (and pictures in some cases))
- New selector at start of site (current one doesnt like flash 4, only flash 5)
- Site functionality (how the menus will work, etc)
- Complete conversion of all site content to the new design (this will be done last)
- Site Introduction (may release this after redesign has already been done)

Anyway, today has been a wierd day, or at least the end of it. We had a meeting tonight about how the clan has been having a lot of infighting in CS, and as a result 3 people have left the clan. I wish them well in where-ever they go to in the future. The clan is going to have some bumps in the road, but were workin on it, and hopefully in the end we will be back to our old status of being friends instead of competitors.

GG Slant(aka Enforcer), Cyanide, and Roybotnik, you've been more then clanmates, youve been friends.

Match vs BMS, OGL:

Honestly, the match was so bad that Slanty was the only one who could find fun in it. Round 1 went ok, but it took literally 50 minutes to start round 2, when we stopped waiting for them to figure out how to run the ogl config on their server and tell them to come back to ours.

Match vs aD, STA:

This match was interesting to say the least. To make it easy for me (since im a lazy bastard, after all), I'll just post here what I sent to the TFL admins to help an ongoing thing going on between SMR and aD:

Last night was an interesting match, to put it simple. After looking over the logs I found out just how deep this all really goes. From fakelag to possible pingbombs to delays to the match, aD had decided that they wanted to win this match at all costs. The following is a review of the evidence of this.

The match started out slow, very slow. The reason of this was that some aD members claimed that they could not connect to the server, that it wouldn't come up in gamespy. We gave several suggestions on how they could connect, including loading tfc, typing in the pass, and then 'connect 198.69.87.69' (the server ip). For some reason, these people couldn't connect, until an STA admin got involved. Once that happened, they were all able to connect, and once they were there, they had an avg of 110 ping (Interesting eh? They dont get a response from the server, then connect with LPB ping.). Anyway, after 30 minutes of waiting for them, we decide to start anyway. Once inside the server, it starts to mysteriously give PL bursts every now and then, and since the server has NEVER acted like this in the past, the CS people start wondering whats going on while the aD crew starts mentioning going to their server (which we later discover they have a large ping advantage to us, I guess thats the motive, heres a quote on that:)

Something about that tells me that this is beyond coincidence. Right when we mention 'pingbomb', the lag that was there when it never had before decides to stop.

Back in the day when I updated news by editing a file in notepad then uploading to ClanPages... Those were the bad ol days.

I just got Q3F working the other day, noticing that I'd had a copy of Q3A for a few months now without touching it. The game is fun, but compared to how TFC plays, its got some things that I've found difficult, like seeing dark players on even darker backgrounds. Other then that, and how theres no timer (wheres my sexy voice dammit!), it's a really kikass game. GJ Q3F team!

One thing that was slightly annoying, however, was how when I got the beta 'point update' (aka patch), it ended up fucking over Q3A instead of fixing it. I had to reinstall the entire thing, redownload Q3F, and get the '1.17' patch instead. Compared to id software, who made no attempt to make their patches compatable with each other when theyre supposed to be, valve seems a lot more competent nowadays...
